Owen Bazigian (she/he/they) is an undergraduate student at the University of Missouri School of Arts and Sciences. Owen has served as the advocacy chair for the Asian-American Association, the MEALS coordinator at Tiger Pantry, and the secretary for the Missouri International Student Council. They focus their personal and academic interests on how community action can improve quality of life, and they see the Gregory Scholars program as an extension of this passion. Owen’s main interest in research is understanding how academic study can help solve pressing health and social issues. Their goals for their time as a Gregory Scholar are to apply this knowledge to improve the lives of others through research, and to gain experience in social justice through an academic lens.
