Ting-Hao, Tsou is a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in Strategic Communication at the Missouri School of Journalism. He earned both his M.A. and B.A. in Public Relation and Advertising at Shih Hsin University in Taipei, Taiwan. His research investigates the effectiveness and validates a theoretical model for using extended reality technology (i.e., augmented reality, AR, and virtual reality, VR) in digital advertising. He believes that applying scientific research methods to identify the problems, search for effective solutions, and ultimately promote social good and make people’s lives healthier and more prosperous are the best ways for contributing to society as a researcher.
For Gregory Scholars, Ting-Hao is looking forward to working with them in a delightful and committed manner. He believes that “learning by doing” and “two-way learning” can make the collaboration between him and the Gregory Scholars enjoyable and help them succeed in their future career. Ting-Hao aims to: (1) trigger and continue Scholars’ interests in strategic communication research, (2) cultivate Scholars’ critical thinking and research skills that can be practically used in the real world, and (3) introduce positive influence that will improve the people’s lives in MU campus and community in his work with the Gregory Scholars.
