Justin F. Willett (he, him) is a second-year doctoral student with a focus on health advertising. He has a Master of Health Administration degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the Missouri School of Journalism. He is also a staff member of the Novak Leadership Institute. Before starting his doctoral program in summer 2022, Justin served as communication manager at MU Health Care and the School of Medicine. He helped lead MU Health Care’s COVID-19 communication efforts, including promotion of the health system’s COVID-19 vaccine program. His research agenda focuses on the use of advertising to improve the health and lives of individuals and communities. Justin’s goal for the Gregory Scholars program is to introduce students to strategic communication research and help them learn the skills and strategies that will help them in their future endeavors.
